Therapeutic (Advanced) Ergonomics Evaluations (TEE) were developed for employees with diagnosed musculosketal disorders; employees with workers' compensation case issues; or employees that are under a physician's or therapist’s continuing treatment.
The TEE evaluation is recommended for employees with significant pre-existing injuries which require work station modifications above and beyond the scope of basic ergonomic risk factors. Developing correct ergonomics recommendations will require the therapist to consider the pre-existing physical issues of the employee.
The TEE process takes about 75-90 minutes and is conducted in two steps. Step one requires the TEE consultant to meet with the employee on site at the employee’s specific work station. The second step is performed at the Situs office located at, 1551 E. Tudor Road. The ergonomics consultant and seating specialist will train the employee in improving postural or behavioral factors to increase productivity, while reducing impact on their pre-existing conditions.
Situs Ergonomics will provide a four to five page report which reviews observations made on-site and make recommendations for equipment modifications or replacement. The TEE report thoroughly documents and considers:
Ø Presenting problems and reported symptoms.
Ø Worker characteristics and anthropometric measurements.
Ø The employee’s essential job functions; current work station; and equipment.
Ø Ergonomic risk factors present in the work environment, whether behavioral, postural or equipment related.
Ø Specific detailed recommendations regarding training and behaviors, postural corrections, and equipment (with recommended heights) to reduce identified risk factors.
The Standard Ergonomics Evaluation (SEE) is performed in less than an hour, at the worksite, and is suitable for clients who may have mild symptoms and are not under a physician's continuing care for serious diagnosed musculoskeletal conditions.
The SEE report is a one page chart format with summary recommendations which clearly identifies the risk factors and provides solutions.
To educate your staff on current workplace preventative measures that they can implement, consider a 45 minute Office Ergonomics Training Class. The class is designed to help employees understand how their bodies work and how they can take more responsibility for their well being on the job. The class can also be offered in a stand alone format, with a one hour power point presentation.
Once the ergonomics evaluation is completed, we will send you the report for each individual, along with a quote for equipment that meets the identified needs, and the invoice for the consulting services. If you wish to proceed with Situs and want to implement the work station modifications, please contact us to place your order from the quote. We will invoice the equipment at the time of delivery and installation. Follow up evaluations may be requested once the workstation modifications are complete.
